Meet the Team

The Cancer Services Partnership is Chaired by Frankie Webb who has experienced first-hand the challenges of going through cancer treatment – the physical, financial, mental and emotional effects – and she has devoted the last 11 years to improving the lives of cancer patients, families and carers in her area.

Frankie Webb – CSP Chair

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. I can still remember how it felt to be told that I have cancer. Having been through chemotherapy and radiotherapy I am now leading a very full life. This experience has made me realise how precious life is and I do not waste a single day. I became chair of this group back in 2009 with the intention of working with patients, families and carers and NHS professionals to improve the cancer services provided by all hospitals within Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust.

Jackie Evans – CSP Secretary

I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2016 and after chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy, followed by a diagnosis of permanent Alopecia (hair loss) and Peripheral Neuropathy (nerve damage) from the drugs, my career in finance was over at 51 years old. But instead of feeling sorry for myself, I embraced my “new normal” – using my knowledge, skills and experiences to support others facing cancer. I began volunteering at a local breast cancer charity, then became Treasurer for a local

cancer support group, and I joined CSP in 2018 after attending a Networking Forum. I saw what could be achieved by working together with other passionate, like-minded people, striving to improve the lives of current and future cancer patients, families and carers. Let’s face facts… one in two people will experience cancer in their lifetime, so this isn’t going away and a lot of people will need our help!
